Father of mercies! In Thy Word
What endless glory shines!
For ever be Thy Name adored
For these celestial lines.

Here the Redeemer's welcome voice
Spreads heavenly peace around;
And life and everlasting joys
Attend the blissful sound.
Verse 3
O may these holy pages be
Our ever new delight!
And still new beauties may we see,
And still increasing light.
Verse 4
Divine Instructor! Gracious Lord!
Thou art for ever near;
Teach us to love Thy sacred Word
And view a Saviour there.
