My Shepherd is the Lamb
Create PowerPoint slides from this hymn →A Christological paraphrase of Psalm 23 that casts Christ as both Shepherd and Lamb, weaving Old Testament pastoral imagery with New Testament redemption themes. Attributed to John Beaumont's psalm writings and preserved in the Plymouth Brethren Believers Hymn Book.
Verse 1
My Shepherd is the Lamb,
The living Lord who died;
With all things good I ever am
By Him in love supplied.
Verse 2
He richly feeds my soul
With blessings from above,
And leads me where the rivers roll
Of everlasting love.
Verse 3
His love so full, so free!
Anoints my head with oil;
Goodness and mercy follow me,
Fruit of His grief and toil.
Verse 4
When faith and hope shall cease,
And love abides alone,
I then shall see Him face to face,
And know as I am known.
