Lord Jesus, Thine;
Create PowerPoint slides from this hymn →A hymn of personal consecration and surrender to Christ by 19th-century Plymouth Brethren writer Albert Midlane, expressing the soul's complete and exclusive belonging to Jesus. The three stanzas move from initial dedication through earthly detachment to eternal assurance.
Verse 1
Lord Jesus, Thine;
No more this heart of mine
Shall seek its joy apart from Thee;
The world is crucified to me,
And I am Thine.
Verse 2
Thine, Thine alone,
My joy, my hope, my crown;
Now earthly things may fade and die,
They charm my soul no more for I
Am Thine alone.
Verse 3
Thine, ever Thine,
For ever to recline
On love eternal, fixed and sure;
Yes, I am Thine for evermore,
Lord Jesus, Thine.
Verse 4
Then let me live,
Continual praise to give
To Thy dear Name, my precious Lord;
Henceforth alone, beloved, adored,
To Thee I'd live.
Verse 5
Till Thou shalt come
And bear me to Thy home,
For ever freed from earthly care,
Eternally Thy love to share:
Lord Jesus, come!
